Want to join the Greenville Gun Club?
The Greenville Gun Club is a members-only facility. You must complete the application process to become a member.
We are no longer accepting applications for new membership in 2022. Applications will reopen Feb 2023.
When GGC is accepting new member applications, a link will be presented above for the interested party to click on. The applicant fills in an online application, digitally signs a Waiver form, and pays a $100 non-refundable application fee.
Shortly after processing, the applicant will receive an email to review the Range Safety Rules and a link to take the Range Safety Test. Upon successful passage of the test, GGC will email the applicant dates for the Safety Orientation Class. It is preferred that the applicant bring their original background check documentation to this class. For more information on background check requirements, click here.
Once the class has been taken and background check verified, the Safety Director and Secretary will present your application packet to the Board of Directors. If approved, the applicant will receive an email to pay the remaining fees (initiation fee and annual dues).
Upon receipt of payment, the Secretary will prepare and mail credentials to the applicant. Upon receipt of credentials, you are an active GGC Member in full standing and can enjoy all of the benefits of being a member. Credentials are typically sent 1-2 weeks after approval and receipt of funds.
Fee Schedule
The Greenville Gun Club charges three fees for all new members.
- Non-refundable application fee ($100)
- One-time initiation fee ($250)
- Annual Dues ($120)*
* Amount prorated for applicants. Normally $180.
Application and Initiation Fees are one-time. After the first year, the Annual Dues is the only fee that recurs; amount is subject to change.
Background Check
We accept a SC CWP or an FBI background check as documentation. If you are a Class I law enforcement officer, we will accept your official credentials as your background check.
To obtain a FBI background check, GGC encourages you to use a FBI Channeler service. From the approved list, GGC recognizes Fieldprint, Inc. (www.fieldprintusa.com) as having local fingerprint locations to jumpstart the process. It is expected that they can fingerprint you and send in the request for your background check with the FBI. Important: when saying the purpose for the background check, indicate it is for personal reasons. GGC will need you to present your full background check to the Club for review and approval.
Under NO circumstances should you mail, email, or fax a copy of your background information to the club; if a copy is sent, your application will be declined. All background check documentation must be done IN PERSON.
It is highly encouraged for applicants to do this process at the same time as applying or soon after; we will take a FBI background check performed in the prior 6 months of application date as well.
